1. What we actually use

• Essential (strictly necessary)

  • Security tokens and basic session continuity so the site loads and works.
  • These cannot be turned off; without them the site would not function.

• Session (short-lived)

  • Temporary values kept while you browse a page or move between pages, cleared when the tab or browser closes.

• Language preference (local storage)

  • Your chosen language (EN / FR / NL) is stored in your browser's local storage so we do not ask again.
  • On your first visit, your browser's preferred language is read once to pick the initial display language. Nothing is sent to third parties.

• Authentication (only when applicable)

  • If you sign in to a restaurant account, an authentication token is stored to keep you signed in. This only appears if authentication is available to you.

• Analytics (only when enabled)

  • When product analytics are enabled, we use them in a privacy-preserving configuration to understand which pages help most. No advertising profiles, no enrichment with third-party sources.

2. Why these choices

Cevor's users are restaurants and their guests, not advertisers. Our business model does not depend on collecting attention data or building behavioural profiles, so we keep cookies to the strict minimum needed for a fast, reliable and translated experience.

3. How to disable or clear cookies

You can clear cookies and local storage at any time through your browser settings. The exact path depends on the browser:

• Chrome: Settings → Privacy and security → Clear browsing data.
• Safari: Settings → Privacy → Manage Website Data.
• Firefox: Settings → Privacy & Security → Cookies and Site Data.
• Edge: Settings → Cookies and site permissions → Manage and delete cookies.

Disabling essential cookies may affect functionality: the site may fail to load correctly, forget your language between visits, or sign you out of an account. Clearing your language preference will reset Cevor to your browser's default language on the next visit.

4. Third-party services

Where a third-party service is strictly necessary to run the site (for example a transactional email provider for demo replies, or an analytics provider when analytics are on), it processes data only on our instructions and under contracts aligned with the GDPR. 5. Changes to this policy

If we add or remove cookies, we update this page. If a new cookie would require your consent under EU law, we ask for it before setting it. The current version is always available here.
